How to make sure you have a real photographer
Before hiring any beach wedding company you should make sure who is going to be taking your photos as most companys on the coast do not use a professional photography or they hire different people on a job by job basis.
What you need to make sure is that the persion shooting your beach wedding photos is going to do a great job – so how do you do this?
Before you hire, sign or pay anything
- Ask to see a large collection of photos shot by the person that is going to be shooting your wedding so you can see if you like their work. (what if you do not like it)
- Get the photographers name and phone number so you can talk with them before hiring the wedding company.
- Get a guarantee from the wedding company in writing with the photographers name and number on it stating that he or she will be your photographer for your wedding and no one else.
- Are they going to edit your photos? how it going to do this the photographer or the wedding company?
- What file format are they shooting in. the Raw file format is the professional file format any good professional will be using. If they are not shooting in RAW they your photos will just not be as good.
- How long will it take to get your photos?
- Do you get a master DVD of photos that are the large files so you can make your own prints.
- Do you get a signed paper of copyrights for making prints?. With out one many places will not print your photos.
- Do you get a on-line gallery so you and your friends can view your photos on-line. Now days any good photographer offers that included with any photo package but non professional shooters do not know how to do this or they do not have a gallery system for this.

The best time of day for a Destin beach wedding
With hundreds of beach weddings going on up and down the Emerald coast many brides get pushed into very bad times of the day for their beach wedding. Many wedding services will try to tell you that in the afternoon is a great time for a wedding but in fact it is the worst time of day for a beach wedding.
Why. For many reasons first in the summer on the coast all day you will have hundreds of people on the beach walking and sitting all over the place and many people bring beach tents or other beach items. Do you really want you wedding to look like it was at a water park with hundreds of people you do not know all around you? Also people tend to walk behind the wedding as it is going on drinking beer or just not looking like what you would want as part of your wedding photos in the background.
Another down side to having your wedding in the mid morning or afternoon is the heat. In the summer on the beach it is very hot (Pass out Hot) Over the years we have first hand witnessed wedding guests pass out from the heat at beach weddings held at the wrong time of day. It can be so hot that you and all your beach wedding guests will be swetting from the heat. We have seen the bride get so hot she had to run off the beach right after the wedding to get out of the wedding dress and the groom is soaking wet. Wedding guests are all very uncomfortable from the heat. After the wedding your photos will show everyone very wet and unhappy if they even stay for the photos. Also on the beach in the afternoon the sun is very very bright and it hits our white sand and bounces back into your eyes making it very uncomfortable on everyone’s eyes unless they have sun glasses on. Do you want everyone in your photos to have sun glasses on I would think not.
So the best time for a beach wedding or any wedding on the coast is to start one hour before sunset so your wedding is ending as the sun is starting to go down. You will enjoy much cooler weather and our amazing sunset. The beach water looks amazing at sunset and the beach will not be very crowded like it is in the afternoon.
Your beach wedding photos will look much better as you can keep your eyes open and you are much cooler feeling great. Your guest will be much happier and look better in the photos as well. After the sun sets and all your wedding photos are done it is then the perfect time for your wedding reception and then dinner making for a all around great beach wedding.
